With the inspiration of the lyrics of our great Gurudeb, some of us dwelling at Barasat who have become doctors from different streams started the journey by forming one WhatsApp medical group on 10th October 2022. We selected like-minded doctors with academic interests at that time.

Gradually we felt the need for academic exercises amongst us and the need for social activities amongst people. Having mostly grown up in this town, we cannot forget our fellow people.

Just one year ago we formed the Barasat Doctors Club and started regular CME programmes and health checkups with awareness camps at Red Cross Bhavan. In the last year we have conducted at least 30 CMEs amongst doctors and 5 health camps for senior citizens of Barasat, efforts which were widely praised in the medical fraternity.

1. Promote academic environment: Discuss latest guidelines, medical inventions and burning topics so we remain updated — a more informed doctor serves people better and improves doctor–patient relationships.
2. Social responsibility: Continue health awareness and checkup camps on a broader scale to serve our community.
3. Collaboration: Extend cooperation to like-minded organizations to render medical service to different sections of society.
